Do my taxpayer dollars help pay for the Monon Community Center?
When the Monon Community Center was built, it was important to CCPR that the community did not bear the brunt of the cost. We received a general obligation bond for Central Park and the Monon Community Center. Taxpayers supported the construction of the facility, but not the operations of the space. Since the MCC opened its doors in May 2007, we have not received any tax-generated revenue for support.
