Best Waterpark Attractions for Different Swim Levels

Ensure your little one has a fun (and safe!) day out at The Waterpark

The Waterpark is finally open, and your kiddo can’t wait to get out there and enjoy all the splish splashin’ fun! You want them to have a good time (and maybe relax a little yourself), but you aren’t sure which areas are safe for their swim levelLuckily, we have this handy guide to help you determine which attractions at The Waterpark are right for you and your kiddo.

Beginner

Your child has little or no experience in the water. For our beginner swimmers, we recommend the kiddie pool and activity pool. The kiddie pool is designed for children under 48 inches; it offers accessible zero-depth entry along with a small slide and water features.

The activity pool is designed for slightly older kiddos that are still not yet 48 inches. Climb up this 30-foot structure where you’ll find two slides and water falling everywhere, including a big dumping bucket!

Intermediate

Your child can swim independently. Intermediate swimmers can enjoy the lazy river, adventure slides, lap pool and activity pool. The lazy river is one of our most popular attractions; kids will have a blast lounging on a tube and floating for hours on end (just don’t forget to apply sunscreen!).

Children must be 48 inches to ride our adventure slides. Our red slide is a partially enclosed body water slide, and the blue slide is slightly bigger and requires a tube to go down it. The lap pool is the largest body of water at The Waterpark! It is over 82 feet in length and goes up to 5 feet 3 inches deep.

Advanced

Your child is a strong and experienced swimmer. If your kiddo is an advanced swimmer, they can swim anywhere at The Waterpark! This includes hanging ten on our famous FlowRider ® surf simulator, with 30 mph waves that delight kids and adults of all ages. Riders must be 48 inches to bodyboard and 52 inches to flowboard (stand up). Parents must sign the FlowRider ® waiver for permission in advance; we also recommend watching the FlowRider ® safety video before riding.

Your kiddo may also enjoy the The Wall (AquaClimb®️) and the plunge slide. Both these attractions are located in our deep pool. The water is over 12 feet 3 inches deep (that’s almost as tall as a giraffe!), so be extra careful when trying these attractions.

Climb up The Wall as high as you can, and then drop down into the deep pool below. The plunge slide is located right next to The Wall; it’s a large slide that’s cut in half, so you get a rush of adrenaline when you plunge into the water!

If you’re unsure of your child’s swim level, we recommend you start them on the lowest level and work your way up, and never leave your child unattended in the water regardless of their swimming abilities. We hope this helps your child have fun while being safe – we can’t wait to see you at The Waterpark this summer!
