Planning An Event or Meeting?

Our rental shelters and facilities are the perfect spot for events of all kinds. Whether it’s a family reunion at a park shelter or a baby shower at Wilfong Pavilion, our spaces provide a beautiful backdrop.

Room/Facility Rentals  

We have spaces in the Monon Community Center and Wilfong Pavilion perfect for corporate events, team building meetings, banquets, birthday parties and more. We have rooms available to accommodate groups ranging from 15-100 guests. All listed capacities are for events with auditorium-style seating (not table seating). Please note that we are unable to accept any groups over 30 individuals during Waterpark season.

Park Shelter Reservation Request  

Less than 50 people desiring to reserve a picnic shelter at a park location must fill out the Park Shelter Reservation Request Form. A private event is defined as a paid/private group of individuals not open to the general public. Except for the reserved picnic shelter, private events do not have exclusive use of park amenities or facilities, such as a playground, splash pad, or parking lot, and may not turn public users away from our parks.

Community Events Handbook & Application  

Community Events are open to the public or events with more than 50 participants. Examples of applicable events include a 5K run, charity event, or corporate function with more than 50 people. Community Events may not be promoted until final approval is granted. There is a $50 application fee for these types of events. Please read the handbook prior to filling out the application.

3 Ways to Register

Things to Note

  • Tax is not included in any of the rental rates – a 7% sales tax will be added to all rentals.
  • Room Reservation Requests or Park Shelter Requests do not guarantee availability of use until fully processed by CCPR staff.
  • Facility Reservation fee entitles you to the exclusive use of your room at the Monon Community Center or at Wilfong Pavilion at Founders Park.
  • Park Shelter Reservation fee entitles you to the exclusive use of the shelter for the full day (7 a.m.-9 p.m.). Partial rentals will not process.
  • The remainder of the facility is public domain and receives heavy visitation.
  • Parks, shelters and restrooms are open sunrise to sunset.

Available to rent from August to May.

Shelter Rentals

Shelters are available to rent year-round. Any shelter not rented within 5 days becomes available on a first come first serve basis, and inquiries therein will not process through our system. Reservations for a shelter during our ‘off-season’ months (October 15-April 15) may have limited access to park amenities. Not all park restrooms are kept open during these months. Please check the specific park shelter details for restroom availability. Splash pads are open Memorial Day-September 30.
