West Park Tree Mitigation

February 2, 2018

On Monday 2/5, crews plan to begin the removal of 500 at-risk trees in West Park. These trees are predominately Ash trees that have been killed by the Emerald Ash Borer, which has devastated the Ash tree population in much of Hamilton County.

While removing these trees is important to the planned restoration and enhancement of West Park, preserving as many healthy trees as possible is paramount and we will have an arborist onsite in order to ensure the process minimizes damage to healthy trees, natural understory and existing wildlife.
