What do wine, cheese and recreational programs have in common?
They all get better with age! For a lot of us, recreation is something for young people and relaxation is for everyone else, but that’s not the case at CCPR because we’ve got recreational programs for everyone.
This fall, CCPR is offering a wide range of programs and events for our 50 and better crowd. Our program supervisors make it a priority to run programs that appeal to everyone and that you won’t find anywhere else!
Program supervisor Amanda Jackson said recreational programs are great for a variety of reasons.
“These programs give people a place to belong,” Jackson said. “You can meet new friends, learn a new skill, be a part of the community and overall improve your quality of life. Plus all of these programs are fun!”
Interested in getting active? Check out Pickleball, a game that mixes elements of tennis, ping pong and badminton. We have drop-in as well intermediate and advanced leagues. Just stop in one evening, find a rotating partner or join the league for a good time!
If Pickleball isn’t quite up your alley, we have lots of other programs! Try scrabble club, bridge club, Orvis-instructed fly fishing or low impact line dancing.
Don’t worry if you’re new to any of these activities because our programs encompass all levels and abilities.
