5 Awesome Places to Take Your Family Pictures this Fall

by

Admit it—you’ve been meaning to get your family’s portrait taken for months…maybe even a couple years. Or maybe you’re one of those on-the-ball people who get their family’s portrait taken every year. I am, unfortunately, not an on-the-ball type of gal. If you’re like me, you just need a little help getting the ball rolling. So here’s some help! Choose the perfect park, get a photographer lined up, get it on the calendar and get it done while the fall leaves are at their best!

But where do you go? Having your family’s picture taken outdoors in the fall is about as beautiful a scene as you can create. (That is, as long as you can keep everyone smiling and stain-free long enough for the shutter to click.) So pick out your best sweaters and say cheese in one of these picturesque locales for your fall photo session.

  1. Cherry Tree Park

13720 Hazel Dell Parkway

This park is all about the open space, and in the fall the trees are magnificent. There’s plenty of room to let kids run around (action shots!) and you don’t have to worry about the distraction of a playground.

  1. Flowing Well Park

5100 E. 116th Street

Flowing Well Park is perfect if you’re looking for a place with history, charm and beautiful scenery. The natural artesian well there has been flowing for over 100 years! Great spots for a photo include the bridge over the creek, along the trails, or by the lovely white shelter.
